General

Where are you located? Do you have a shopfront?
We are a Singapore registered company but operate from our home at Dover Rise/Buona Vista. Due to various reasons, we choose to remain an eBakery and do not plan to have a shopfront at the moment.

Products and Storage

What ingredients do you use?
Ingredients used are all listed in each of the product item page, including the nutritional information as well.

What are some points to note for the nutritional information for each item?
Do note that sugar alcohol used in our products such as xylitol, monkfruit and erythritol are auto-excluded by the tool we used to generate the nutritional information as they are as they do not raise blood sugar or insulin levels to the extent sugar does and are passed through the digestive system without being metabolized. Hence, they do not count towards the total amount of total and net carbohydrate count in the nutritional information.

The nutritional information are provided as a courtesy for reference and as a guidance for your purchase and consumption decisions using a tool based on USDA Food Database. We, unfortunately, cannot be held responsible for its accuracy and changes.

Why are there so few items at your store?
We only sell what we like to eat on a regular basis. If it is not on our store, either we have not developed a good enough recipe that we like enough to share with others or we simply do not consume those items usually.

However, many customers have suggested items that sparked our taste buds and we have included them at a later stage. Hence, do feel free to check with us or suggest. We welcome that greatly.

Are you Halal-certified?
The ingredients are halal and we have separate baking tools for our bakes that do not mix with our usual meal preparation. We are not Halal-certified… yet.

How do I store the breads and for how long?
As no preservatives are used, in our humid weather, we would suggest the following for bread storage:

First, pack the buns or slices into airtight containers or bags into these categories
o To be used within 1 day – keep at room temp away from heat or sunlight
o To be used within 1 week or so – keep in fridge, thaw slightly before warming the breads by putting it in a toaster, microwave or steamer. Breads can be kept for 1 week in fridge.
o To be used greater than 1 week – keep in freezer, thaw first before toasting. Can be placed in fridge overnight to thaw for next day usage. It is advisable to separate the slices into a few bags as they tend to lump together when frozen. Breads can be kept for 2 months in freezer.

How do I store the cakes and tarts?
Cakes should be kept in the fridge at all times. Covered or in a air tight container if possible.

In fridge it can be kept for slightly over a week.
Our cakes are also freezer friendly. It can be kept for 2 months in freezer.
Even though some customers have sent us pictures of how they enjoyed the treats months later, we strongly advised against it.

How do I store Yaya Kaya?
Kaya should be kept in the fridge at all times. It can be kept for slightly over a week.
One customer told us that she kept it in the fridge unopened for a month since she was occupied. It was still fine after. We strongly advised you against it.

How do I store the Cookies, Onion Chips, Roti Kok or Roti Crisps?
Keep them in a air tight container at room temperature should do the trick in making them crispy for a good 2 weeks!
If they becomes softer with time, lightly toast them in a oven at 150C for 10 minutes should do the trick. If you don’t have an oven, pan fry them over low fire will work as well.

Eating Suggestions

How would you suggest we enjoy your items?
When it comes to food, every person is entitled to his or her personal preferences and tastes so this is a tough question to answer.

We will share how we usually enjoy some of our own bakes here for your reference:
Breads are best enjoyed when heated in the microwave (20-30 seconds), air fryer, toaster, oven or steamer (yes, this is true! They ended up very fluffy and light when steamed).

Burnt cheesecakes are brought out from fridge and rest in room temperature for 15-20 mins. They tend to be much more creamier. Some customers swear by eating them straight from fridge or even freezer. They say it is like eating ice cream.

Chiffon and other cakes can be eaten straight from the fridge as we enjoy the slight chill effect.

Egg tarts come with a soft buttery crust. We like to toast it till oil sizzles out for a good 5 minutes and wait for 10 minutes before biting into our treat. Crunchy crust on top with soft creamy custard is our take on enjoyment. One customer shared that she kept air fry at 160C for 7 minutes, off the air fryer and have the tart sit in there for another 5 mins. Perfect crust according to her. Do give this a try if you have an air fryer.

Lemon or Cheese tarts can be enjoyed directly from the fridge or toasted lightly for a more gooey center.

Brownies. We like them warmed slightly… Lava chocolate is our thing.

Cookies, Onion Chips, Roti Kok and Roti Crisps
should be enjoyed straight from the airtight containers and at room temperate. The Roti Crisps have been known to be very versatile in its pairing for enjoyment such as dipping in hot beverages – read keto coffee, matcha or hot chocolate, sides like salsa, guacamole or sour cream and local favorites such as curries. Our fast and favorite way has to be spreading a generous layer of Yaya Kaya and scooping a dollop of creamy butter on it. Give it a try and you will know what we mean.
